What most people don’t believe is that men are indeed more sensitive; they have harder time coping with break-ups than women do. Men are not biologically designed to have the full capacity of processing feelings like their female counterpart. Being this is the case, men tend to have a hard shell around their heart that keeps them from getting hurt. They only truly open up the shell when it feels safe to them. Just because a woman is demanding that they “open up” doesn’t mean a man is going to feel safe enough to “open up.” When a man feels that a woman is agreeing with him, or that his opinions are valued by the female he will start to “open up”. However, what often happens is that many women will want a man to open up, yet when he begins talking they take over. The man then doesn’t even see the point of talking or opening up.
